Have had a few of these before, the joint isn't well made and the clip twists, doesn't hold, or falls apart after a couple uses. This is very nice, well made, the joint has so far held up to 3 uses now. Don't wear ties often anymore, but the occasion does call once in a while. This clip holds up well to a couple of my thicker ties, does fine for the thin ones, but does look a bit bulky on the thin ones. But, compliments on the aces, clip does look very nice. Price is good, considering the joint holds up to use. Recommend.

I thought this was a delightfully shiny tie clip. For the novelty of the tie clip the value and price is pretty spot on. To me I thought the clip was a little bit bulky because I am used to ones that are much more sleek but it will definitely work with the outfit.

I got the ship's wheel tie clip for my husband since we are going on a cruise. It looks amazing and I'm looking forward to him wearing it since we always get dressed for dinner! It seems to be very well made and has a stiff clasp so will not come off easily. My fingers are seen in the photo so that gives an idea of the size, which seems to be just right for a tie clip. The price seems like a great deal, especially for a gift for someone who loves the sea or is going on a cruise.So, I think this is a terrific gift for the ocean or ship lover in your life - or a cruise essential!

First, please forgive the poor quality photo, all I had was my phone's camera and a poorly lit room. From my perspective, the tie clip looks great on my purple tie. I think tie clips with designs like this work better with solid-color ties. Patterned ties may take away from it, but it should still be fine.Anyway, I find tie clips to be a good opportunity to show off a little personality. If you're in a "not-too-formal" event, a tie-clip such as this works well!Now, from a distance, and to people who don't really notice nuances, this tie clip looks great. That's why all of my complaints are not going to be enough to take a star away. Others would just see it and say, "Ooh, you have a piano tie clip. Cool!"Before I begin with what I don't like, let me say its strengths. It is durable, and the tie clip is really strong and sturdy. It will stay in the same place and not move around.Now for my complaints: the design appears to be superglued on. It is not perfectly aligned with the tie. In the picture, you can see that it's tilted to the left a little bit. This indicates that while it is durable, it was "rushed" and meticulous care wasn't really given in creating it. People aren't going to notice it, but I still believe it could've been built better.If you really like music or the piano, then this could be the tie clip for you. However, if you can find something that's a little better built, that one might be more worth it than this one.
