Had these since SEP for my daughter running cross country. They run about 6-8 miles per week. These held up great for the whole season and my 11 year old daughter, 4'11" and approx. 80 lbs, thought they were very comfortable. Still using them for gym class. By next season she will have outgrown them so won't have a review, but these fulfilled our needs very well.

You know how most kids running shoes these days LOOK like they have a rubber bumper around the toe but it's actually a vinyl decoration? I always look for this type of Asics for my kids running shoes, because they have an actual, stitched on bumper with an actual rubber toe final (I made up that word, but you can see what I mean). I bought my middle school daughter some much trendier shoes for school (rhymes with bikey chair source) which showed wear very quickly, and she ended up wearing these all year instead because they're comfortable and sturdy and she could wear them to PE and to train for her 5k. They are still going strong after 9 months!! This is our second pair, bought for a younger daughter.
