Good EQ that can be bypassed by powering off the unit.It contains 15 swappable opamps. I am not certain, but I think they are the Ti NE5532p dual opamps.Not certain. I didn't take a deep dive. Just enough to look inside to see the opamps. You know how Ti has the state of Texas stamped on their opamps. Well, that is what I seen. Maybe could be swapped out with Burson 5Vi dual discrete opamps, and/or Sparkos SS3602 dual discrete opamps.It has good build quality. I'll evaluate the T7 in my audio rig for a time to see if it is worth upgrading the opamps. Just glad I have that option. F.Y.I It appears to be worth the $99 (US) asking price.Update: Real nice addition to my rig. I would definitely buy again. Still contemplating rather to upgrade the op-amps. The unit sounds great on it's own. No noticeable noise or artifacts. It's a keeper.I also would like to add that all the frequency adjustment knobs have a balance notch that lets you know when they are in the balanced position. They adjust -/+ 6db. It really doesn't matter that you can't tell precisely where you have it set. You should only adjust the frequencies that need it, and then you adjust it till it sounds the way you want. I have all my frequencies set to the balanced position 98%-99% of the time.

I'm always reading all the reviews and never write any, much. But I have to tell you that this is a KICK BUTT game changer in the quality of sound. I thought my speakers I just bought to go with my Turntable were good, but now the sound is blasting. Turntable: Audio-Technica AT-LP70X Automatic turntable. Speakers: Edifier R1280T Powered Bookshelf Speakers. I was very happy with the sound from the speakers, but the Douk Audio 7 Band Equalizer was delivered a day later, I just about went into Orbit. It Brings everything to life. Crisp sound and you can fiddle with it and set it to your liking, even if you set all to halfway you will be blown away with the difference it makes. I can't believe there were any negative reviews on this thing. Set up is easy, plug and play. Hook up is out from Turntable into Equalizer then into Speakers. It hardly takes up any space at all. Just remember it doesn't come with the RCA cables, have to buy separately. I am very happy customer. If you've been on the fence or unsure it would make a difference, GET IT!!! You will not regret it. Loving it!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased this equalizer to solve some room acoustics problems only on the Left channel of my stereo but even with the equalizer frequency adjustments completely in the center there is very noticeable gain I'm guessing about four decibels. There should be no gain for extremely little without raising the frequencys. You can verify this by switching back and forth with the bypass and because I'm only using this on one channel this equalizer is useless without a balance or attenuation control because one channel is now so much louder. I purchased a schiit lokius equalizer and that had no gain unless I added it through the frequency controls like it should. As we all know added gain risks added distortion so you use it conservatively but the Duke audio equalizer has very noticeable gain Even with all the frequency adjustments centered when it's in the chain. Just a note, I am using the balanced inputs and outputs but the Duke still shouldn't be adding its own gain when the frequency are supposed to be flat. I don't like the idea of that much added gain just having it in the system and I'm not going to buy an attenuator and add that in the chain as well. This equalizer just doesn't work for me. In conclusion it's not a bad equalizer especially for the money and for equalizing both channels but if you're using it to adjust only one channel be ready for that noticeable added gain to that one channel.

This EQ/PREAMP really added punch to my old pioneer system. I connected it between my D/A converter and my amp. The 7 bands allow me to tweak the streaming from my IPad into something much more authentic. Well worth the money.i

When I was purchasing this I couldn't find much in way of visuals on this just the actual measurements.I'm super impressed with the build on this thing! And it does exactly as advertised. Fortunately it fit in a little space I needed it to fit into, and weirdly it was the only thing I could find in the internet to do this little job. So these guys don't have any competition in this area.I only have limited EQ on the gadgets on the desk there. So being able to get another stage of EQ on the output headed toward the house PA is an amazing fix. Cuz I don't typically have access to the house PA so now I have the ability to make the necessary adjustments for audio comfort and feedback suppression etc.If you got a job and it looks like this thing will do, not only is it the only one out there available to do this little kind of a job, but it's a high quality piece of gear, especially at that price point.
