I have used this actual scanner at work and it is fantastic. Unfortunately the scanner sent was the 690 which is smaller and is for cards and receipts not standard paper size

This scanner is great and easy to use. We use it for our accounts payable support, we can quickly scan 30 or more pages at a time and combine some or all of them using the provided software.

I work in medical offices that most often require twain scanners. The gold standard for a relatively small footprint, speed, and reliability has been the Fujitsu Fi-series. However, the Fi-series scanners are very expensive and clients have pushed for alternatives. I’ve implemented a few of the Ambir scanners in the past year, and so far have been very pleased with the results. While I can’t yet speak to long-term reliability, they are fast and efficient and work well with every EMR vendor I’ve tried them with.The main Con about this scanner is that the footprint is larger, and the design is unwieldy. However, given that it’s about half the cost of a similar Fujitsu, it seems worth it to give up a few more inches of desk space.
