These cameras provide good picture quality in bright conditions. For night vision, they work well but I notice the quality is degraded and any water spots on the lens turns the picture cloudy. These camera's were easy to setup with an Amcrest NVR and have been working reliably for me for 2 years. I have not had issues with the NVR or Amcrest App. All work as expected without issues. I would buy these camera's again if I need to.

I have numerous Amcrest and Dahua cameras. The only feature I find missing in these mini domes is great night vision. Even though they have Starlight technology, they do not perform anywhere close to the PTZ models (98 ft vs 328 ft). That being said, I wanted to try this in place of one of my 5MP Dahua mini domes, with the hope of improving night vision.. At first, I was pleased, but then I realized I had a problem. While this may have a higher resolution, the lens can not be tilted/positioned to the same level as the Dahua. This physical limitation greatly impacts what I could capture. In fact it was the difference of capturing what I needed, so it really made the camera unusable (in my application).In searching for settings that might be a factor, I also discovered this camera has no zoom capability (manual or motorized). For my applications this is typically not an issue, but I was surprised as nearly every other mini dome I have has zoom and auto/manual focus controls. Also, I disabled all of the "smart features", but objects in motion were still distorted/pixelated in both live view and the recorded content. This issue may have been correctable, but I'm not sure why it was occurring.In any case, the lack of zoom features was an oversight on my part and not critical. The physical limitations of camera did make it unusable for my application/location. It is probably the difference of another .25 to .5 inches that would have made that a non-issue (and it would still be installed).

I replaced an older gen camera with this one to see if I could get rid of many false positives from tree branches and shadows and the wind. It was impossible with the older generation technology to adjust the sensitivity or zones to eliminate a lot of false positives when it was windy. The new camera works better in the IVS mode, but still has issues with motion and trip wire. I have it set for IVS with people and vehicle detection and a zone defined, and that works well, but sometimes seems to cut off to early. Still messing around with the settings as it has a lot of newer options for motion detection and tripwires etc.

Ordered one of these cameras to replace a older one. The system I have is a Amcrest 1080P Lite system. Was very impressed with the camera once it was hooked up, The picture was great and viewing area was so much better during the day. Contacted Amcrest to find out why Night Vision didn't work, found out that even I had a 1080P Lite system it does not support 1080P cameras it only supports 720P ones so that was why it worked during the day but of a night it pulls more so it wouldn't load on my system. So make sure you system is Full 1080P.Here are 2 Pictures so you can see the difference, the first is a 720P 59 degrees viewing area the 2nd is the 1080P 103 degrees viewing angle. There is a big difference.

I ordered 2 of these cameras and have been enjoying them for the last few months. I wanted to take the time to write this review to help people achieve the 30fps. My NVR and camera would originally only run at 20fps. To get it pumped up to 30fps, I had to log directly into the camera by using its local IP address. Once logged in, I used the Amcrest UI and went to Setup (top right), then Event (on the left), Smart Motion Detection (drop down menu of Event), and then uncheck Enable.I can understand not wanting to uncheck the Smart Detection feature but my NVR is able to handle that. I was then able to get into the Camera/NVR settings and push at 30fps. I hope this helps someone.

gives a good night time picture, it is nice an clear, which is what I was looking for. The daytime picture is also excellent. Also like that I don't have to run a separate power line to them. Power Over Ethernet is the way to go.
