We are in retail and have a large number of these deployed. They are easy to configure and have been dependable and work well with the surveillance software we use.

I liked the ability for a memory card to provide backup images/video in case my Blue Iris computer is stolen. But for outdoor use, a security camera needs a long lens so it can be in a safe location and still provide a large enough image to identify who and what. This camera might be able to accept a modestly long lens (6 -8 mm), but the "see the whole world in one image" wide angle lens it comes with is glued/epoxied in. I have about 10 cameras installed and every one of them has the original 2.8mm -or 3.6mm replaced with a longer lens; (6mm, 8mm, 12mm, 16mm or even 25mm). The police have loved my videos for the clarity and were able to quickly ID the culprits. I'll be returning this camera.

Great camera that works over the ethernet cable. No power adapter required. Better to select mode Plug and Play and save it. H.VIEW NVR recorder System will recognize it if connected directly to NVR. I got help from Customer service in China, they were very helpful and made it work in less then 10 mins it was up and running. The picture quality is great in both day and night. Great H.VIEW camera.

All four of the cameras I received had identical static IP configurations. I had to plug them in one at a time at set them to DHCP and set some static leases, but changing the static IPs should work to.NTP doesn't seem to work despite plenty of debugging on my side, it's forever the year 2000 to these cameras.Quality is middling on h265 max resolution, max bitrate. Sometimes the framerate lowers. h264 is no different.I'd be upset if these weren't so cheap. For the cost, worth it.

This item was returned because of a defect. These H.View cameras had a weather-proof rating of IP67 but failed in protecting them against water intrusion. The cameras exhibited some fogging and the appearance of water spots on or inside the lens, which greatly diminished viewing quality at night. The impact this had on daytime viewing quality wasn't as noticable.Also, the cameras did not provide any hard copy of user instructions for setup and installation. You had to go online to download a pdf file that provided insufficient installation detail. There also were no mounting templates for drilling holes to mount the cameras

I have pieced out my hvi ew camera system. I bought the NVR separately and ordered different priced cameras both expensive mid-range and low end. This is one of the more affordable cameras and the HVIEW ONVIF compatible cameras that are plug and play on my NVR. Surprisingly, the picture quality on this camera is very good. But I would expect that with this brand because every camera that I've bought from low to high end has been exceptional. Installation of this camera was a breeze as well as getting it pointed and dialed in. My NVR picked it up almost immediately. This camera during the day is works as good as the $150 version but does not show as much detail at night when zooming in then the more expensive one does. The camera does a very good job and produces a very good night vision picture.But where I have it pointed I'm not as concerned. I am more concerned with the daytime picture and being able to see if I have packages on my porch. This is a very good budget conscious camera from this brand and at this price point I don't know that I could get a better quality camera. I may order some infrared flood lights that you can purchase and run independently next to the light see that improves long-range detail.

H.vision is a great company and I really like their products in terms of solid construction and vendor support. Both are outstanding. BUT, the problem with this camera is that it carries the H.vision brand but does NOT provide plug n play with H.vision's own NVR. I assumed upon purchase that this cam would be fully compatible with the NVR, a major reason I purchased it from them. But it is NOT even ONVIF compatible out of the box due to the fact that it does not come programmed to support standard DHCP but instead comes with a fixed address that does not even work with the H.vision NVR. This can be reprogrammed, but why should it even be necessary? I have been buying similar cams of different brands and they are setup with DHCP as default and they ARE plug and play with H, vision's NVR.

It's been working well with my for almost two years...until it died. Unfortunately I cannot find any warranty information (if any).This seems like a case of getting what you pay for as I have several other older but more expensive cameras that continue working.
