Update - 11-29-2023:Added temperature sensor info below and attached image.Original Review:Bought these since they were on sale and wanted something to integrate to Home Assistant. Wasn't super on board with the idea of a "coin" style water detector (would prefer the cable type), but went with this to give it a shot. I put it next to the drain and water heater downstairs.Fast forward three months. We had a small backup in our drain downstairs and the alarm in Home Assistant went off. Saved me a lot of damage I'm sure. You will 100% want to make sure you set up multiple critical notifications in your automation and consider choosing a custom obnoxious sound. If you're sleeping, you want to make sure you don't sleep through it.The Good:-- Paid for itself already-- Integrated very nicely with my Sonoff receiver in Home Assistant.-- Fairly non-descript and small. Hard to notice on the floor.-- Fast. This thing went off immediately when water had reached it.-- Inexpensive! I'll be honest, I really wish there was a cable type Zigbee detector that wasn't $100. But this thing is just so darn inexpensive that you can get six of these for the cost of one of those plus an extension cable.The Cromulent:-- It's battery-powered. As mentioned above, I the cable type is preferred, but I'm guessing there's zero chance of a cable type without having to be plugged into an outlet. Plus you can put these wherever you need without having to worry about an outlet.-- TBD on battery life so far. I've been tracking this since I installed it in mid-July. Started at 88% with the factory-supplied battery (constant problem with Aqara) and within ten days it had dropped to 70%. It has been sitting there at 70% for three months now. I'll update this when I have to change batteries.-- The LQI shows a fairly weak connection, which is surprising given that it's only 10-15 feet away through two interior walls. Kind of surprising given that other devices that are much further away are significantly better.The Bad:-- The temperature sensors in these are utter garbage. They're the internal temperature of the device, not the room they're in. They're off by 10+ degF and should NOT be relied upon in any capacity.Overall:There really are no major primary weaknesses to this device. I'll be grabbing a couple more when they go on sale to scatter around the house. I'd like to get the Eve Water Guard but at $100 + $20/6 ft, it's really hard to justify it.The temperature sensors are useless cost adders and Aqara would be better off just removing them.

Ho acquistato il sensore per perdite d’acqua Aqara SJCGQ11LM per proteggere alcune aree della mia casa particolarmente a rischio di perdite, come il bagno e la cucina, e devo dire che è stata un’ottima scelta.La configurazione è semplice e veloce grazie alla tecnologia Zigbee, che garantisce una connessione stabile e reattiva al mio sistema domotico. Il dispositivo è compatibile con Home Assistant e altri hub Aqara, rendendolo perfetto per chi, come me, ha già un ecosistema smart in casa.Il sensore è piccolo e discreto, quindi può essere posizionato praticamente ovunque senza essere invasivo. Una volta attivato, rileva in maniera immediata anche piccole tracce di acqua, inviando una notifica sullo smartphone. Ho testato il dispositivo con una piccola quantità di acqua e il segnale è arrivato quasi istantaneamente.Un aspetto che ho apprezzato è la batteria a lunga durata: si tratta di una CR2032 che dovrebbe garantire diversi mesi di utilizzo senza necessità di sostituzione. Inoltre, il dispositivo è resistente all’acqua (IP67), quindi può tranquillamente essere posizionato anche in ambienti umidi senza problemi.Per sfruttare al massimo le sue potenzialità, serve un hub compatibile Zigbee, io l'ho integrato direttamente in Home assistant e sono soddisfatto del lavoro che svolge.Conclusione:Il sensore per perdite d’acqua Aqara è un dispositivo indispensabile per chi vuole prevenire i danni causati da perdite o allagamenti. È affidabile, facile da configurare e perfettamente integrabile in una casa smart. Lo consiglio vivamente, specialmente per chi cerca una soluzione pratica e sicura per monitorare aree critiche.

Very happy with these sensors! They're surprisingly small, which makes placement easy in tight spots like under sinks and behind the washing machine. Connected directly to my Home Assistant hub without any issues, setup was straightforward.The Zigbee connection is stable and responsive. Having peace of mind knowing I'll get alerts if there's a leak is worth every penny. If you're running Home Assistant and need water leak detection, these are excellent. Highly recommend the 3-pack for covering multiple areas.

J'ai fait l’acquisition de ce détecteur de fuite car j'en possède déjà un depuis un peu plus de 6 ans, il fait très bien son travail, placé en dessous de l'évacuation de la machine à laver où il y a parfois des débordements nous sommes tout de suite prévenus via sirène sur le hub et notifications push. Nécessite au minimum un hub aqara, la pile sur le premier est toujours celle d'origine.Durée de vie environ sept ans pour le premier en service qui donnait constamment des faux positifs après une mise à jour de l'appli ( je ne sais pas si il y a un lien ). J'en ai acheté un autre.

Can connect directly to Home Assistant without Aqara Hub

Aqara sensors work great for Home Assistant and don't require the Aqara Hub (even though it says it does). The metal parts that detect the water leak are actually screws, so you can use them to attach some wire instead, if you have to detect a leak in a place where you can't (or don't want to) place this sensor. This is helpful if it is a very small space, or somewhere the sensor could be damaged, or somewhere where the Zigbee signal could be blocked, such as inside a metal enclosure.
