I bought this awhile back and had to provide a review. I lived in Germany for 25 years and always loved the Greek Gyros/ Turkish Doners from the stands. This little unit provides the aesthetics of this cuisine. It hooks up to a Blue Rhino tank and does the job. It's a fun rotisserie for the money. Remember to cut your pork or lamb in thin layer to stack for optimal charring and have on hand an electric knife or meat shear to trim.

Used for first time today to do picanha and it worked pretty well. The salamander burner elements got pretty hot and surprisingly pretty even. It didn't splatter too much so the clean-up only needed a wipe down.The sides and back didn't get too hot, but I would still take care to not have flammable things nearby when cooking. The heat off the elements is substantial. I probably wouldn't use this indoors or over a covered patio for safety.I venture a whole chicken would need to be tied up to keep it over the grease collection bowl and I'd try to turn the heat down as much as I can so it doesn't burn the skin before it was able to fully cook. The elements are quite hot and need to play with the levels not to burn your food.A lesson-learned is to be sure you do put water in the upper tray BEFORE you start the cook. That top part really gets hot and the water is there to keep it from overheating the metal. If you forget, adding water while it is hot will warp it...so if you forget, wait for it to cool down to add water.The only real downer is I wish they sold an extra skewer rod/disk as it would be nice to have a 2nd one to be able to prep a different cut of meat or a pineapple.

This is a very solid machine which is well built. I have used it twice so far and it cooks the meat perfectly. It can get very hot and adjust the temperature accordingly. I like the fact that you can adjust the temperature individually on both sides. Also, very easy to clean afterwards.

Bought it and it did not work. The heater won't trun on. They replaced it and the second one did not work. The customer service for the company never picked up the phone. I followed the instruction to the dot and also was in contact with Amazon, which I followed their instructions but the machine never worked.
