Opening the can you see a very attractive fillet, surrounded by an orange-ish oil that turns out to be soybean oil with some dye. The oil has a neutral flavor and of course can be poured off. The salmon itself has a very good flavor, with no off or “fishy” taste, and just a hint of smoke. It’s very close to the Fishwife brand salmon but costs just a quarter as much. At the asking price I think it’s an excellent value.

This is so good! I have always loved salmon, but it can sure get expensive. I don’t like cooking it inside my home because the scent lingers for a couple of days and my husband is not fond of fish. There is a generous portion of salmon in the can and it is the perfect color and is very filling. The smokey flavor really is a bonus and as always, I DRIZZLE either honey or 100% maple syrup over my salmon. Delicious! I will keep buying this product.

I RARELY give a 5STAR. These are simply the best OUT OF CAN fish I've had! I have had lots of types and brands. This is a perfect open the can and snack or, as a suggestion, toast a couple pcs of pumpernickel bread, slather some cream cheese on both sides, put a good green leaf lettuce on the cheese, then put the entire can, oil and all, on top! Close the sandwich and wowwww! Good sandwich!! Healthy too! Great price! Will buy again!!
