There are enough reviews talking about how good the system is, so I'll spell out some things any buyer should know before purchasing. This will ensure that you don't waste your money and have realistic expectations.1. Make sure you know the TDS/PPM (mg/L) of the water supply you'll be using. You don't want your supply's TDS to be above 350-ish. If it is, you're only going to get a couple washes before the filters are used up. If the TDS is too high the filters won't be able to remove enough dissolved solids to prevent water spotting, making the system a bit pointless and causing the filters to be used up in a single wash. If your supply has a high TDS rating, I recommend adding a pre-filter to bring the TDS down to a reasonable level. My city's TDS was almost 450, so I installed a whole-home 3-stage filtration unit for my house and ran a line to the resin filter. If you go to the expense of adding whole-home filtration, make sure to exclude your exterior water bibs - typically there's no need to filter those, and it'll save a lot of use on your 3-stage filters if you use your exterior bibs often.2. Read the instructions - there is a bypass valve, and if you have it set to bypass you won't be using the filters and might get the impression that the system isn't working.3. Rather than guessing or estimating how many washes you can get before a filter change, consider installing an inexpensive multi-jet (MJ) flow multi-jet flow meter on the output of the filter system. You can use that to determine exactly how many gallons/liters/etc. the filters can handle before needing to be replaced, avoiding potential water spots when the filters are used up. I recommend a multi-jet meter over a single-jet meter as they are more accurate. MJ meters can't handle as high of a flow rate, but you'll want to keep the flow rate down when using this system anyway.As for the system itself? It works great, and my back is happy with all the manual drying time that is avoided.

Well...I love the system itself. The bypass setup is fantastic and easy to use! Can't build one of the same quality for much less. The issue I had was with the supplied filters. My water reads around 55 TDS unfiltered. With the supplied filters I couldn't get a reading under 20 TDS in filtered mode while flowing the max spec'd 1gpm through it. I figured I'd try refillable filters before I returned. Purchased and filled the empty filter cartridges (Hydronix HX-EC-4510W) with mixed bed resin and my meters were instantly reading 0 TDS. Even getting 0 TDS at 2 gpm. Only time will tell how long they last of course. With all that said...maybe I just received bad filters, but nonetheless... I'm now happy with the system with the filter mod. I also still believe it's a great buy even with the extra cost.

Truly excellent quality product. Works well to get 0 ppm car was water and the stainless steel valve and connection bar are very impressive compared to other brands with plastic or cheap metal. I have has absolutely no leaks and the supplied filter wrench makes replacing cartridges very easy. I had one issue with the cartridges supplied with the kit not lasting as long as they should have as a calculation of gallons used and my water overall water hardness in PPM. Andrew from Waterdrop customer service immediately send me a replacement set of cartridges and then followed up several times to be sure everything was working ok. He even sent me a free water filter pitcher which was a kind gesture. I cannot say enough about the great customer service! This is a quality product!

I installed a quick release at either end of the water flow pipe. Today, first use, two white cars. Water flow, direction was perfect. Very easy to set the valve into one of three positions. I did not want the cart that other brands offered. This unit was easy to carry out of the garage and into use on the driveway. It believe it is a good value for the money, time will tell how many washes I get before needing to replace the filters? I did a "test" on the 1st car, leaving a door and 1/2 windshield without a towel wipe. I'd say these areas came out 95% spotless. I did towel dry both cars, found it went very fast with almost no time spent wringing out the towels.
