I used to sell this product for a Fortune 500 company and worked as a nurse at a plastic surgery office and this is what we all used. This product has a serum for the AM that protects your skin from Blue Rays; this is the UV rays that come from the computer, the cell phones, ipads, etc. This actually does more damage to our skin than the actual UVA and B rays from the Sun and is a necessity now to prevent brown spots or hyperpigmentation on your skin. The PM serum is for everyday use at night. This product helps our skin at night with cellular regeneration and is something that is crucial for our skin. Highly recommended.

Poor Performance, and Overpriced!As someone who has worked extensively in a high-end medspa, I’ve seen every major skincare brand come and go — some live up to the hype, but unfortunately, SkinMedica Lumivive Day & Night is NOT one of them. I’m sharing this now, but soon I hope to join Vine to reveal even more industry secrets to help everyone from 18 to 80 spend smarter and look better!For now, if you’re considering buying this — PLEASE read this first.⸻My Experience:• I had high hopes based on the marketing about “skin recovery” and “protection from blue light and pollution.” Unfortunately, after several weeks of real-world use, the results were negligible to none.• The smell is unpleasant — chemical, synthetic, and heavy. If you’re sensitive to fragrance (or even if you aren’t), it’s off-putting.• The consistency is poor: greasy but not hydrating. It doesn’t absorb well and does not layer properly under makeup. My concealer slid off my skin, and foundation pilled horribly over it. Even used alone, it never left a smooth or fresh feeling.• Definitely NOT rosacea-friendly or sensitive-skin friendly: My skin flared up almost immediately. Anyone with compromised barriers or redness should absolutely stay away.⸻Ingredients and Potential Allergens:SkinMedica Lumivive contains a cocktail of ingredients, and while some are fine in theory, several raise concerns for sensitive or allergy-prone skin:• Fragrance/Parfum – known irritant and allergen; unnecessary in a product marketed for daily wear and skin recovery.• Dimethicone – silicone for smoothing, but can trap heat and exacerbate breakouts in sensitive skins.• Alcohol Denat. – drying and irritating for already stressed skin types.• Phenoxyethanol – a preservative often associated with skin irritation.• Botanical Extracts like Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract and Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract can be beneficial, but when improperly formulated or combined with heavy fragrances, they can backfire and trigger sensitivities.• Multiple silicones – while good for blurring in the short term, they don’t deliver long-term skin health benefits and can clog pores.Basically, if you have sensitive, dry, acne-prone, or rosacea-prone skin, this formulation is almost guaranteed to cause trouble.⸻The Price? Outrageous.At this price point, you should be getting clinical results backed by independent studies, not just marketing claims. Instead, you’re paying for fancy packaging and brand name.You can get better results for half (or less) the price:• Look for AI-powered skincare recommendations and smart-shop directly on Amazon.
