The ASICS Kids CONTEND 9 Grade School Sneaker is designed for young feet. Details like the toe reinforcement, toe rubber stitching, and solid rubber outsole increase durability and lengthen the shoe's lifespan. The lace-up sneaker comes with a mesh upper, polyester lining, and a polyester insole. At least 20% of the shoe's main upper material is made with recycled content to reduce waste and carbon emissions. The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology. Plus, the signature branding on the side adds an authentic touch. Round toe shape. Low-top design.

I bought these for my 11 year old to play volleyball in. She loves them. The all white color is apparently "in style." She says they're comfortable and supportive. Quality is great too--I have personally been wearing Asics brand for volleyball shoes since 1998!!!

As always, ASICS makes a good product and my daughter’s been running in the brand for the last six years. They hold up well, and if you replace them at the regular intervals and have shoes that fit well, then injuries are at a minimum.

I bought these shoes for my 10yo son. I think these are the best I have found at this price point. (I had been buying NB brand, but they kept getting holes before he grew out of them.) These have generally held up until he outgrows them, and he likes the appearance and style, so I am satisfied. The shoes seem true to size and good for kids to run around in.

Great shoes and comfortable for my 4th grader who LOVES the Asics design. He had velcro Asics before (that he purchased in Japan - we couldn't find larger boys sizes that were velcro in the US) and was sad he had to give those up when they no longer fit. The blue/black colorway look almost identical to the ones he had previously and he said YES immediately. He has gotten used to tying his shoes and he says these are very comfortable. I trust they'll last the school year again. Great value for the money.
