Before getting into this review, I would like to point out that I was NOT paid for this review and had been researching THERMAL printers and looking at their reviews. One thing I noticed is that people think these sorts of printers should or would operate like an inkjet printer, and that is not the case. If you plan on doing a large amount of printing, this device is not for you. I have been using it to print out a few chapters at a time to review a book. I also used it to see what a coloring page design would look like. The printer uses paper on a roll, so your paper will be curled and not flat. The paper is fairly translucent, as you can see in the picture, with the lines, the butterfly from the other picture can be seen in the background. (see pictures)I did not have high expectations for this thermal printer, but it does the job that I need it to do. I wish that it came with an additional roll of paper, but I am still pleased. The paper printed out without issues of smearing. I tested on my MacBook as well as Iphone. I wanted to specify which technology brand, because this is important for some shoppers. If I connect it to my Windows laptop, I will update the review.If, for some reason, you find that the printer is not connecting by USB and you have successfully downloaded the driver is to make sure that the USB-C cord is fully pushed into the side of the printer. The printer will constantly stay on while connected via USB, no matter if you press the power button to turn it off. Overall, I found it easy to connect via Bluetooth and USB-C. The printer is very portable.Note: I have been using this printer for a week and a half. If anything changes, I will try to remember to come back and provide an update.Update 9/17/25: Item was purchased on July 9, 2025. I have downgraded the review, not due to print quality, but because for some reason I receive a clicking noise, and then the printer stalls, and then continues printing, and then performs a repeat of this 3 times, and this is on a singular print of 8.5x11. This causes the letters on one line to be cut off (see attached image). I contacted the Rongta since it does have a one-year warranty, but they have been less than helpful thus far. Basically, they provided troubleshooting steps that have nothing to do with the issue. I even sent them the screenshots.Update 10/7/25: This started as a 5 star review but I am since downgrading it to a 1. The printer has issues now and the company has failed to properly address the issue. I sent them screenshots and videos of the issue and basically stopped responding on the issue. Based upon communications it appears that I am not the only person who has had this issue, but may not have written a review. The printer was great when it was working but not even a year later and wasted money. Heck not even 6 months. I hope this helps someone with my honest review.

Excellent value for money. Super practical and compact. LOVE IT

The media could not be loaded. Great little printer. I am very happy with what I got for that prize. It’s super practical, compact, App is easy to use (it’s called SoPrint), and super easy to print via Bluethooth. The quality is quite good. As long you need documents to keep for a long time, all good . (remember that it uses glossy paper, like those used for receipts /faxes but thicker). It comes with one paper roll already inside. I bought 3 extra rolls via Amazon for about $30. Very happy with the purchase. Highly recommend it. See images and photos here.

UPDATE: Seller responded quickly to my bad review and worked with me to resolve the issue. Apparently there is a “print” side on thermal paper. IF the printer is printing blank sheets, turn the roll around. It doesn’t show or say this in the instructions but once I changed the direction of the roll, the printer worked beautifully and I am more than pleased with this little workhorse.It worked beautifully until I ran out of paper. I bought the paper recommended for this printer and now all it is doing is printing blank sheets. Sadly, I can't return it now as it's past the return date. I can't find any troubleshooting help so I'm stuck with a pricey printer that's worthless.

I like the size compact I'm having a mixed review on this one certain things work great on it other things I'm having an issue with trying to get a different things out if I could ever get that worked out I could whatever is on my screen print it and it prints it out would be great but there's a few things I got to work out yet so I would say overall for the money it's a good deal but there will be some technical issues
