If anyone says 37 inch is batter than 40 they are wrong. If anyone says this is gaming display only, again wrong. Its best productive display I found. While coading i needed 2 displays when I can split in this my Sdm and perfect solution. Super spaced for high productivity. Took so.e time to fix color as it comes with so many settings I had to turn off to bring windows color tone to natural way. Amd is best with this display. My eyes are thanking me for sure.

I had been looking for a new monitor for awhile and had been researching for a new one. I decided I wanted a high quality display, but burn in was a fear I was having for alot of the new OLED monitors since I do a good amount of office work/internet browsing in addition to some gaming. Thats why when I saw this monitor go on sale I jumped onboard. I have been nothing but happy with this purchase as I get the wide screen experience, but still get the height I need for my office work. Much cheaper than the LG and Dell options, yes I know it is a VA panel, but as the monitor sits directly in front of me at my desk I have NO issues with viewing angles or anything like that. A great monitor overall and if you can get it on sale it is a NO BRAINER to purchase. Picture quality is great, screen is bright enough for my office and everything is functioning as I would expect. My 4080 video card truely allows this monitor to shine. Highly recommend for those of you who dont want to risk the burn in of OLED or avoid the high prices of the OLED screens. Obviously those other monitors may have better blacks and brightness, but for the price you won't be disappointed. I will admit, that like most Samsung monitors/TVs, you do need to do some adjustments to get a more accurate color, but that little bit of work is well worth it.

These are initial impressions after a few hours of use: picture and build quality are great. Bright and colorful. Text and images are crystal clear. Backlighting appears pretty even. Size is perfect for me coming from a 32" 4K monitor. Smaller widescreen monitors felt like they had been squashed vertically but this feels like I gained real estate. Hooked up with DisplayPort; no problems. Menus are easy to navigate and logical. Box was a bit awkward to handle but the monitor is pretty light - I could easily assemble and move it without help. Powertoys recommended to control the placement of windows. Gaming with an rtx 4090 and no problems driving this resolution.

There are no speakers in this device. My HDMI cable says the device could be used as a sound device. Wrong.I love the imagery on the display. The resolution is good for my simple gaming needs (World of Warships/Tanks/Airplanes)MS Flight Sim looks good now running via Steam.Controls for the display are simple. Instructions are online and hard to find. Pictured paper directions with the display will get you connected but no explanations of what you will get.I am trying to get the Color Sync feature to illuminate the RGB LED lights on the stand behind the display. Still a mystery how to get that working.Unclear how to get USB passthru from the monitor to my desktop.Monitor turns on quickly and will sleep if your input device goes to sleep.The curved display fits well on the back corner of my IKEA desk.

Decent monitor and not badly priced. Has some key flaws though.I can't rate it 5 stars because like others my unit has 1-2 seconds of black screen randomly even with 8K rated HDMI cables driven by a 4090. This happens a few times a day even with latest drivers and updates to the computer.I use for productivity 70% to games and movies 30%. I found the hard way a 1000R curve is idiotic for anything but particular types of gaming, but there are very few options for screens of this size and aspect ratio.For video or audio editing, or office or spreadsheet work the, curve warps timelines or straight lines badly and is overkill. It looks dumb. Also no one should be sitting within closer that a meter of this monster all day. Its a large screen and best viewed at 40-44 inches in my opinion.While I had adapted my vision to the Samsung strong 1000R curve after just over a week, I decided to try a Dell 2500R monitor of the same size and resolution. After comparison: the immersion and focus benefit to the eyes of the Samsung is only marginally better in games, but every other use is worse due to the extreme curve. The curve in the Dell is about right for a balance of increased eye rest and immersion but not making normal work or movies look too warped.The Samsung VA panel is decent and fast for a VA, but has viewing angle shifts and backloght bleed that look very similar to the minor IPS glow shift of the Dell. The 8 zone dimming on Samsung is a joke and when turned off, the contrast in a dark room is marginally better than the Dell (which uses LG IPS Black tech in its panel for nearly 2000:1 contrast).With a little ambient light, I found the Samsung VA did not have any advantage over the Dell in any area except gaming.So besides the price, why would anyone pick this over the Dell unless all they do is game? The Dell has a much smarter 2500R curve choice, way better connectivity, no power brick, better color accuracy, similar black levels in a lit room, and doesn't shut off the signal randomly for no reason.Im disappointed that gaming continues to ruin good products like the Samsuung with dumb decisions (lights and stupid childish logos on everything, etc) but is what it is.If Samsung ever made a 2000R version with real local dimming, and no black flashes due to weak signal, this unit would 5 stars because it does have a lot to like. In the end I am likely returning the Samsung because of the dumb 1000R radius, but mostly because I can't afford to have it fail if the flicker to black indicates unstable hardware design.
